A few weeks ago, my cousin Taylor was in town for a night while making the trek from SoCal up to Oregon, shooting photos of weddings and babies (she’s a kick-ass photographer) along the way. Being that she had all her camera equipment, we decided to have some fun around Sacramento and I thought I’d feature one of my favorite fitness outfits that’s pretty much been on repeat lately.
It’s no secret that I love a good bargain and basically live at Marshalls, TJ Maxx and Nordstrom Rack for everything from work attire to casual wear. For YEARS I had avoided the pull that Lululemon has on so many people (my friends and family included), because “why would I spend $90-120 on a pair of yoga pants when I can get the same thing at Marshalls for 20 bucks?”
Then I received a pair of Lulu crops as a gift and before I knew it, I was perusing the racks at Lululemon Sacramento and now admittedly have a drawer full of all things Lulu, including my new favorite sports bra (the Fast & Free Nulux bra) pictured here. Cue all the “I told you so’s.”
Over the last year, I’ve slowly but surely phased out the other brands, because, well, they really aren’t the same (I happily recant my prior statement above). Whether I’m teaching spin, practicing yoga or scaling walls (because I totally do that when I’m not being photographed), I love the comfort and support of wearing Lulu and can honestly say, I rarely go back to the fitness brands of my bargain shopping past.
