Don’t be fooled by the glistening squint in my eyes or the sunlit backdrop to these photos—it’s frickin freezing right now in Sacramento! And by freezing, I mean it’s currently 44 degrees and sunny, but by California standards, that’s practically below zero. Fortunately, I have this fabulous fur-collared peacoat to keep me warm.
As much as I love to dress up (case in point: 1 / 2 / 3), I am a casual jeans and t-shirt kind of gal at heart. This look, featuring an amazing military-inspired coat in an unexpected terracotta red, definitely captures my typical winter style: ripped jeans, booties (in this case, cropped army green rain boots from Target), a lightweight knit top, beanie and bold jacket (this one is Free People). And because I’m a huge fan of glamming up an otherwise lowkey look, I’ve layered a few statement necklaces for good measure.
An awesome pre-Christmas clearance find at Nordstrom Rack, the coat is basically the perfect combination of form and function—not only is it cute and stylish, but it’s actually warm, too! And because I love versatility, especially when investing in pricier pieces, the fact that the fur collar is removeable made this purchase even more worth it.
Stay warm out there!
